Talent Discovery & Scholarship Examination

A state-level initiative in Assam that identifies and nurtures academic talent among students from Classes III to VIII, and awards scholarships to those who do well.

What the examination is for

The examination assesses proficiency in language, mathematics, mental ability and general knowledge. Top performers are awarded scholarships, encouraging them to pursue higher education and to prepare for competitive examinations.

It also familiarises students with the pattern and procedure of national-level competitive examinations, so that the first one they sit is not a shock. The programme plays a part in promoting academic excellence and supporting students’ educational aspirations in the region.
